Business Ideas Are Everywhere
How I ended up being called “the candy man” in school!
When I was in junior high (or middle school as we called it here in North Carolina), I was not one of the cool kids.
I wasn’t athletic.
I didn’t have any cool hobbies.
I hardly had any friends.
But I did have one thing that set me apart.
Business acumen.
Now, what sort of business acumen could a junior high school student have?
It’s the same kind of business acumen EVERYONE on the internet tells you that you should have:
Find a need — fill the need;
Or in other words,
Find a pain point — address the pain point.
What was the pain point I discovered?
Paying too much for candy at the school store.
I realized I could buy a box of Airheads at a local warehouse store for $5, sell the candy for half of what the school store sold it for, and make tidy little profit.
Heck, I even ended up being called “the candy man” by some of the kids on the school bus.
The moral of the story?
You can find a business idea anywhere, even on the school bus.
